Kristin Anderssen
CEO at Make-A-Wish Norway, for the last two years. I work to turn dreams into reality for children with critical illnesses, bringing hope and joy to families across Norway. We have gone from 12 children in 2022 to almost 40 children in 2024. I also work part time to fund Learn Kids to Code initiativ in Norway. As former Head of Sponsorship and Partnerships at the House of Math, I champion global educational impact by making math more accessible and effective for students (grades 1–13) and their parents. Through strategic collaborations, I also lead the We Take Action, initiative, which provides extra math teachers to underperforming schools, funded by private sector partnerships.
Previously, I served as Business Development Manager at Oslo Business Region and Senior Adviser for the City of Oslo, focusing on innovation, startups, and international relations. My efforts include co-founding Oslo's Innovation Group and managing high-profile projects like MiA (Meetingplace for Innovative Procurements) and Startup Accelerator Programs. Notable achievements include launching Oslo’s International Reception during Oslo Innovation Week and facilitating cross-border collaborations, such as the Pakistan Tech Summit at OIW 2019 and the creation of Tøyen Startup Village.
With a Law Degree from the University of Oslo and TTO training from IC2 in Austin, Texas, I thrive on bridging public-private gaps, fostering innovation, and creating international connections that drive meaningful change.
I try to come to SXSW every year to learn and meet new people!
