Joseph Liu

Joseph is a seasoned angel investor with memberships in three prominent networks: Central Texas Angel Network (CTAN), Tech Coast Angels (TCA Venture Group), and Chemical Angel Network. He served on the CTAN board for 4 years. He is currently the chair of the board of CTAN Sidecar Fund. His portfolio includes over 40+ direct investments and participation in 7 funds, spanning startups across all five major verticals: Life Sciences, B2B Software, Hardware, and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG). Each year, Joseph reviews and evaluates more than 1,000 investment opportunities.

Joseph holds a BS in Engineering for Sustainable Environment from National Taiwan University, an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Master of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s School of Law. He holds two certificates from Harvard University—in Biotechnology Management and Disruptive Strategy—as well as a certificate in AI/ML for Business from MIT. He is currently pursuing a Master of Finance at Harvard.
