Vivian Satterfield
Vivian Satterfield has over 15 years experience working alongside community members, the public and private sectors, and industry to achieve meaningful change at the intersections of environmental, racial, and economic justice. Vivian is an organizer, policy maker and coalition builder, having started her career in the nonprofit sector in Portland, Oregon as a receptionist at an affordable housing agency in the neighborhood where she still resides.
As the Chief Sustainability Officer, Vivian will help shape Portland’s new form of government and work to continue Portland’s legacy as a national leader on climate action. Vivian is informed by her social movement values and supported by her lived experience as a first generation, biracial Chinese American from inner city Chicago.
