Susan Peterson
Susan Scott Peterson is an award-winning radio journalist and audio producer whose climate and environment stories have aired on NPR stations nationwide. Her work has appeared with WNYC’s Science Friday, Vox Media, New Hampshire Public Radio and many other outlets. An editor and producer for Pittsburgh’s NPR station, listeners hear her voice during Morning Edition.
Before pivoting to journalism, Susan had a decade-long career in the energy-and-environment field in Austin, Texas. She was the sustainability director for the nationally-recognized affordable housing nonprofit Foundation Communities, where she led the installation of a megawatt of solar capacity. She traveled nationally as an invited speaker and her work was recognized by the City of Austin with a Net Zero Hero award.
