Mike Burns

Mike Burns is a seasoned executive, global thought leader, coach, and former Army officer with over 30 years of experience in strategic leadership, diversity, equity, and inclusion, self-assessments, culture transformation, and organizational behavior. Together with his brother John, he is the co-founder of The Burns Brothers, Inc., a group of culturally-driven companies committed to fostering a more inclusive world.

Before establishing The Burns Brothers, Mike held the position of Chief Diversity Officer at Conduent and Citigroup, two prominent multinational corporations, where he spearheaded and oversaw global diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Following his tenure as Chief Diversity Officer at Conduent, Mike transitioned to the role of Head of Conduent's Customer Experience business. In this capacity, he successfully managed nearly $1 billion in revenue generated by a team of 25,000 employees spanning North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean Islands.

Mike joined corporate America after serving 13 years in the US Army, initially as a helicopter pilot and then as a civil-military advisor with the 101st Airborne Division in support of operations in both Afghanistan and Iraq. He concluded his military career as the Head of Diversity Recruitment and Enrollment for the United States Military Academy at West Point.

He is passionate about helping people and organizations successfully maximize their skills, passions, brands, and networks to accomplish tough and complex problems. He feels that true value is only realized when WHO you are and WHAT you do coexist.
