Marcia Stepanek

Marcia Stepanek is an award-winning journalist and one of the nation's leading experts on the influence of media technology in society. She teaches media and change management at Columbia University and is the founder of BrandStories, Inc., a strategic communications collaborative in NYC that helps social sector organizations harness the power of visual media and digital networks to navigate transformativ change. Marcia also is Co-Founder and Executive Producer of New Rules Media, a newsletter and podcast about global and national challenges in our rapidly changing world, and the author of "Closing the New Digital Divide" (deGuyter, 2024). Her journalism honors include a George Polk Award and National Press Club Award for Washington Correspondence. She was a finalist for a Pulitzer Prize.
