Having worked locally and internationally, Desmond has dedicated himself to fostering innovation and promoting financial literacy in underserved communities. As the Founder & CEO of BatteryXchange Inc., he spearheads a groundbreaking initiative with the motto "Live Life Charged." BatteryXchange (BXE), in partnership with businesses, installs portable battery kiosks in high-traffic locations like hospitals, convention centers, stadiums, and college campuses, allowing users to charge their mobile devices on the go. Hailed as a "game changer," BatteryXchange is dedicated to contributing to an ecosystem of connected technologies to enhance connectivity among people, businesses, and communities.

Desmond's accomplishments have not gone unnoticed, as he graced the cover of Cassius Life Digital Magazine and earned a spotlight on AfroTech's website, recognized as one of the "10 Groundbreaking Black Startups Founded by HBCU Grads." His visionary leadership has also earned BatteryXchange a impressive accolade, receiving a significant investment from Equilibrium Impact Ventures, and most recently was Desmond was selected to introduce the Vice President of the United Stated, Kamala Harris at the White House Economic Opportunity Tour.
