Benn Wiebe

Benn is a seasoned entertainment executive, producer, and social impact strategist across the creative economy. Winner of the SXSW Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary in 2020, has served as a mentor at SXSW previously, and produced the JUST PLAY Game Jam at SXSW in 2024. Benn has been nominated to the Oscar Shortlist and won the UNICEF Prize as well. As Vice Chairman & Executive Producer of HFP, Benn oversees film festivals in 13 countries, consults on social impact campaigns for Netflix, the United Nations, Sybo Games. Benn also serves on the boards of Screen South, Treun House Atelier, and as an advisor to Think Film, SIE Society. Currently producing the “Earth Elders” documentary, mentoring for Creative UK and the NFTS, and curating special programming for the Olympic Village in Paris. Benn has produced climate driven campaigns for Netflix original titles, for UN Live, Count Us In, and been a founding member of UNEP’s Playing for the Planet Alliance, and an initial convener of the UNFCCC’s Entertainment & Culture for Climate Accord, as well as the Arts & Culture Working Group.
