Klaus Lackner, widely regarded as the "father of direct air capture," has been a leading advisor to governments and industries on carbon capture strategies for decades. He serves as the director of the Center for Negative Carbon Emissions and is a professor at the School of Sustainable Engineering at Arizona State University. Previously, Klaus was a Professor of Geophysics at Columbia University and directed the Lenfest Center for Sustainable Energy. He is the inventor of the air capture technology utilized by Aircela and has overseen the development and prototyping of cutting-edge carbon capture devices throughout his career.
