Carol Ofafa

Carol Ofafa is a researcher at the European University Institute (EUI) in Italy, working on the African School of Regulation (ASR) initiative. With 9 years of experience as an Electrical and Electronic Engineer at Kenya Electricity Transmission Company (KETRACO), she supervised the Suswa Converter station and worked in Power Systems Planning and Design. Carol received Kenya's highest civilian award, The Head of State Commendation (HSC), for her contributions to energy projects, mentorship of women in energy, and innovative work in clean energy solutions. She is the founder of E-Safiri, a startup developing solar-powered charging stations for electric vehicles in Kenya. Carol's expertise spans energy transmission, project management, e-mobility, and sustainable energy solutions in Africa.
