Dunstan Bruce
Dunstan Bruce is a British musician and filmmaker who was also the founding member of the Leeds-based anarcho-punk band Chumbawamba. He was the lead singer of the band’s biggest hit single ‘Tubthumping’, which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent nine weeks at No. 1 on the Pop Songs chart.
After Chumbawamba disbanded in 2012, Dunstan got to writing again and formed the band Interrobang. From there, he became involved in film making, which led to his film: Chumbawamba ‘I Get Knocked Down’ (2021) - a thought-provoking look at how to change consumerist culture from inside the beast. It is also a personal story of one man reflecting on his wild past and how to continue making a difference as one gets older in a culture continuously obsessed with the latest youth trends.
