Patricia Motus, OTR/L, RYT
Patricia Motus, OTR/L, RYT is a dedicated Filipina American occupational therapist with 25 years of diverse clinical experiences across New York and California. She specializes in designing community-focused programs that support individuals who have experienced trauma, domestic violence, homelessness, and chronic health conditions. Currently, Patricia is enhancing therapeutic environments at Exodus Recovery’s Safe Landing, an Interim Housing facility in Los Angeles, where she empowers clients on their journey to wellness through targeted occupational therapy.
A proud graduate of York College’s Occupational Therapy Program, Patricia has been passionate about education since 2000. Through her private practice, Transitions OT, she mentors and teaches students and professionals in the field, sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm for non-traditional occupational therapy practice.
In addition to her clinical work, Patricia hosts “The Uncommon OT Series” podcast, where she shares inspiring stories of occupational therapists in unique roles and discusses innovative practices in the field. She shines a spotlight on the diverse roles of occupational therapists and shares valuable insights on best practices in the profession.
