Alejandro Lopez-Bezanilla
After earning his doctorate in France, Alejandro advanced his research career through positions at several prestigious U.S. institutions, including Oak Ridge and Argonne National Laboratories. Since 2017, he has been a computational physicist at Los Alamos, specializing in the application of diverse computational approaches to study nanoscale materials. His work primarily focuses on the electronic, magnetic, and transport properties of low-dimensional systems. Alejandro's career encompasses a wide range of topics, from materials discovery to the development of programming techniques for quantum devices. Recently, his research has emphasized exploring frustrated magnetic lattices at the qubit scale using D-Wave quantum annealing technology.
