Roxanne Newton
Roxanne Newton is the owner of Hound River Farm which raises Katahdin sheep on 240 acres located in the coastal plains region of South Georgia.
Roxanne served for 6 years on the Board of Directors for Katahdin Hair Sheep International and on the Board of Directors for Eastern Alliance for Production Katahdins as the co-chair of the Education Committee for the past 3 years. Roxanne has a passion for education and have authored several published articles on sheep health and management, co-authored a “Quick Reference Guide for Shepherds,” and have mentored many new and experienced shepherds over the last 20 years. Hound River Farm genetics can be found in many flocks from Hawaii to Maine, including Puerto Rico and Canada.
