Peter Stone

Peter Stone currently serves as Chief Scientist of Sony AI and holds the position of Deputy President. In addition to his role in the private sector, Dr. Stone is the Truchard Foundation Chair in Computer Science and Associate Chair of the Computer Science Department at the University of Texas at Austin, and also serves as the Director of Texas Robotics. Previously, Dr. Stone co-founded Cogitai, Inc., a startup company focused on continual learning, in 2015. His research interests in AI include planning, machine learning, multiagent systems, and robotics. Dr. Stone’s long-term research goal is to create complete, robust, autonomous agents that can learn to interact with other intelligent agents in a wide range of complex, dynamic environments.
