Doménica Castro

Doménica, is an award-winning writer, producer, and director driven by stories that shape culture.
She co-founded 271 Films, a development and production company with work featured on MTV, Nylon, Vice, HBO, BET Networks, as well as film festivals including Sundance, AFI Fest, DOC NYC, Tribeca.

Her co-directorial debut film ‘We Are Here’, world premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival and received an NAACP nomination.

Under the banner of 271 Films, Doménica co-runs the Indeed Rising Voices Initiative with Lena Waithe’s Hillman Grad Productions and Indeed.

Doménica produced Season 3 of theNetflix series, "Taco Chronicles" and is a Sundance Producers Lab Fellow, developing projects to nurture Latine and marginalized communities in Hollywood.
