Juan Ravell
Juan Ravell is an audio producer and documentary director from Caracas, Venezuela. In 2008, Juan co-founded El Chigüire Bipolar, a political satire website that used humor to bypass government censorship in Venezuela. In 2018, he branched into investigative journalism collaborating on projects with reporters from Armando.Info, IDL Reporteros, Columbia Journalism School and Centro Latinoamericano de Periodismo de Investigación. Juan has also led projects for Spotify Studios Latin America such as "Un Poco de Contexto" and “Futbol a Muerte”. He recently directed FRONTLINE and Armando.Info’s documentary A Dangerous Assignment: Uncovering Corruption in Maduro’s Venezuela, which follows journalist Roberto Deniz as he uncovers a corruption scandal spanning from Venezuela to the U.S.
