Maeyen Bassey
Maeyen Bassey is a two-time Emmy Award Nominated filmmaker who amplifies critical stories that uplift, inspire, and that celebrate courageous trailblazers who are unapologetically themselves. Having crafted a multi-award winning career in short form and branded content, Bassey's long -form filmmaking began when she was invited to create a documentary chronicling the history of Black students on the campus of Stanford University. She then collaborated with the Academy Award-winning company Dirty Robber on Why We Fight, an ESPN+ documentary series Executive Produced by champion fighter Ronda Rousey exploring the intimately personal stories driving world-class athletes to pursue combat sports, work for which she received her first Emmy Nomination.
