As a fanthropologist, Meredith does organic audience development research and strategy work in the attention economy. She fields custom research for creators and media companies to understand their respective fandoms better. She also consults on online video optimization in a way that strategically aligns audience need-states and platform priorities. Her work often includes culture and trends research about shifts in media production and consumption landscapes.

Prior to her consultancy, Meredith Levine worked under MatPat and Stephanie Patrick at Theorist Media where she cut her teeth on content strategy and optimization. Before that, she worked at the entertainment marketing and branding firm Troika as part of the research team on a multi-modal, foundational, longitudinal research study of fans and fandoms for traditional entertainment clients. She got her start in the creator economy at ZEFR (or even further back in the day, Movieclips) and as a consultant for VidCon when they were working on splitting the event from a creator and community event to an event with an industry track.

Sometimes, Meredith Levine is an adjunct professor of Fan Studies at USC.
