Renee Gadar

Renee Gadar is the Global Artistic Director of Texture for Aveda and a key consultant for Texture Education Collective, advocating for mandatory training and testing in textured hair across states. Her journey began in North Miami's Black and brown community, fostering her deep understanding of hair. After teaching math in New York, Renee joined Neill Corp., Aveda's parent company. At Aveda, she pioneered comprehensive texture education nationwide, introducing texture mannequins in student kits. Renee co-founded the Texture Education Collective, advancing inclusive curriculum standards and regulatory reforms in Louisiana. Her advocacy promotes diversity and systemic change in the beauty industry.
