Gabriela Bila Advincula
Gabriela Bìlá is a Brazilian architect and multimedia designer, currently a PhD candidate and researcher at the MIT Media Lab, City Science group. She focuses on discussions about the contemporary city as the core of her work, blending new media and tangible interfaces to explore how humans will adapt to technological impacts on future cities.
Her work has been featured at various venues, including the Venice Biennale, Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, EXPO, Cooper Hewitt Museum New York, Boston Museum of Science, Espaço Itaú Cultural, Museu Nacional da República de Brasília, SESCs São Paulo and Instituto Tomie Ohtake. Beyond research and design practice, Gabriela is an educator and has developed and instructed graduate courses on speculative urban design and media production.
