Uzo Ometu
Uzo Ometu is a media entrepreneur and creator economy expert with over a decade of experience in content strategy, audience development, and partnerships. As the Founder and CEO of BlackOakTV, Uzo raised venture capital to launch a streaming platform dedicated to amplifying Black stories, licensing and producing over 200 titles and building a thriving community of creators and fans. Prior to BlackOakTV, Uzo spent 7 years at YouTube, where he worked on the content partnerships team, often spearheading initiatives to expand YouTube's content acquisition efforts in news, local, digital, podcasts and creator content.
A graduate of Columbia University and Columbia Business School, Uzo has long had a passion for the intersection of media, technology, and culture. Through his work, he empowers creators to scale their businesses, monetize their content, and connect with underserved audiences. Uzo is passionate about the future of media and helping creators unlock their full potential.
