Nicole Paulk
Dr. Nicole Paulk has dedicated her career to advancing gene therapy by engineering viruses to treat deadly diseases. She is the Founder and CEO of Siren Biotechnology, a cutting-edge startup developing Universal AAV Gene Therapies for Cancer, a groundbreaking technology invented in her laboratory at UCSF. Dr. Paulk holds a PhD in Viral Gene Therapy and Regenerative Medicine and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Human Gene Therapy at Stanford University prior to starting her lab at UCSF in the Department of Biochemistry & Biophysics. Dr. Paulk is a pioneer in next-gen viral platforms for gene repair, gene transfer, and gene editing, including directed evolution for novel engineered capsids and multi-omic approaches to interrogate translational viral biology.
