As the founder of Trashy, Kaitlin Mogentale has over a decade of experience in the upcycled food industry. Kaitlin launched one of the first Upcycled Certified brands with nationally-distributed vegetable chips crafted from farm-level and value-added processing waste. Kaitlin’s work has involved building supply chains with growers, processors, and distributors, providing her with deep insights into the pain points and opportunities within the industry. Her newest venture, Scrapi, addresses the critical gap in food processing infrastructure by converting agricultural surplus and byproducts into valuable ingredients. By deploying breakthrough technology, Scrapi creates new revenue streams for farmers while supplying sustainable ingredients to manufacturers and retailers.
