Joel Castellanos, MD

Dr. Joel Castellanos is a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation and pain medicine physician, and is Co-Founder and serves as Associate Medical Director of the Psychedelics and Health Research Initiative at UC San Diego. His research focuses on the potential use of psychedelics for chronic pain conditions. Joel maintains a full clinical pain practice, allowing his work with real-world suffering to inform his research.
