Guadalupe Canas Herrera
Dr. Cañas-Herrera is a theoretical cosmologist striving to understand how the universe began, how it evolved, and what its ultimate fate could be. In particular, she is studying how the primordial density seeds that populated the very early universe, and evolved to form the current structure that we see today, were generated. She has studied physics in her native Spain and cosmology in the Netherlands. Furthermore, she has carried out short research internships in the US and Germany, in the fields of gravitational lensing and astroparticle physics, respectively. Now, she works as a Research Fellow at the European Space Agency (ESA) in the Netherlands and is a key member of the Euclid project on both science and the communication of results to the public.
