Kathleen Turner
Dr. Kathy Turner manages the DOE Office of High Energy Physics Cosmic Frontier program, which supports scientists carrying out world-leading experimental design and operations to reveal the fundamental nature matter, energy, space and time, with studies of Dark Energy, Dark Matter, and Inflation. She coordinates interagency and international partners and has served on many committees, including the Astronomy and Astrophysics Advisory Committee and National Academy of Sciences. She got her Ph.D. (1989) in high energy physics from Florida State University, with research at DOE’s Fermi National Accelerator Lab (FNAL), continued postdoctoral work at the FNAL Tevatron at the University of Maryland and New York University, and worked at DOE’s Brookhaven Lab before coming to DOE.
