Lora Smith

As the Director of Investment Partnerships at Justice Funders, Lora Smith collaborates with movement leaders and philanthropic partners to redirect investment capital away from the extractive economy toward local, regenerative solidarity economies that build economic power and self-determination in Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities on the frontlines of economic and racial injustice. She is the founder and former Executive Director of the Appalachian Impact Fund, and worked as the Network Officer for Central Appalachia at the Mary Reynolds Babcock Foundation. Nourishing her love of the arts, she is also a co-creator and member of the Waymakers Collective.
