Nicholas Bowman
Nick Bowman, PhD, is a media psychologist and communication scientist with more than 20 years’ experience as a research scientist, journal editor, media commentator, and public speaker on topics of emerging media, such as video games, digital worlds, and social technologies. He has published more than 150 peer-reviewed manuscripts and given more than 250 talks at technology-focused conferences and summits. Bowman has co-authored three textbooks on media psychology, and he is a recognized authority on the psychology of video games and digital worlds. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Media Psychology, and his consultancy offers psychological insights to non-profit and emerging technology content creators, as well as expert testimony on litigation involving gaming and digital worlds.
