Laurie Going

Laurie has over 20 years in the visual effects, post production and film/TV industries. She has worked for numerous VFX companies such as Sony Imageworks, Crafty Apes, Factory FX, and others including a number of smaller agency shops. She is co-author, along with Shaina Holmes, of the recently published "Visual Effects for Indie Filmmakers." Laurie is a long-standing member of the Visual Effects Society, and a member and mentor for Women in Film Austin. She holds an MFA in screenwriting and is an indie writer and filmmaker herself. She currently resides in Austin where she owns Deacon Finn Films and VFX and also works as a freelance VFX artist and editor.
