Laurie Going

Laurie has worked in VFX for over 20 years, and is an independent screenwriter and filmmaker. She is co-author of "Visual Effects for Indie Filmmakers," and owner of Deacon Finn Films and VFX in Austin. She spent years traveling the globe working for companies like Prime Focus, Crafty Apes, Factory VFX, and Sony Imageworks on films such as “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” and “The Amazing Spiderman.” These days she works largely as a VFX Supervisor, artist and consultant for independent films. Laurie is a member of (and mentor for) WIFT Austin, The Dramatists Guild of America, and is on the board of the Texas Section of the Visual Effects Society, of which she has been a member since 2006.
