Rida Qadri

Rida is an multidisciplinary scholar of global inclusion in AI technologies., currently working at Google Research. Her research uses ethnographic and participatory methods to understand the cultural implications of AI for non-western communities and develop AI pipelines that honor the expertise, knowledge, and agency of global communities. Her past research has examined how mobility apps fail for workers in non-western contexts and how workers then repair, resist, and understand these algorithmic systems. She holds a PhD in Computational Urban Science and a Master's in Urban Studies from MIT
