Shay Strong

Dr. Shay Strong holds a PhD in Astrophysics from The University of Texas at Austin, where she studied planet formation and infrared instrumentation. As a Senior Scientist at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab (2007-2014), she worked on U.S. National Defense Space programs and NASA missions, including the Parker Solar Probe. She then served as Chief Data Scientist at OmniEarth, where she led the development of AI-powered satellite imagery analysis for water resource management. Following OmniEarth's acquisition, she joined EagleView as Director of AI, creating insurance solutions using satellite data. Currently, as VP of Product and Engineering at ICEYE, she leads the development of natural catastrophe monitoring solutions, helping insurers and governments quantify climate change impacts through Earth observation data.
