Bonnie Mcfarlane

Join award-winning comedian and writer Bonnie McFarlane for an exclusive live taping of her new comedy special, NONE OF THIS IS REAL, as part of the renowned SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. After specials on HBO and Comedy Central, this will be Bonnie's first independently filmed standup special. Bonnie is known for the critically acclaimed documentary Women Aren't Funny and her popular autobiography You're Better Than Me, published by Harper Colins and Anthony Bourdain books. Bonnie has also gone on to direct commercials, including an award-winning campaign for Cannon. Bonnie has also written for both the Comedy Central and Netflix roasts and has been tabbed to head up the writing teams for the Independent Spirit Awards and MTV MusicAwards. She most recently wrote for the Golden Globes. Bonnie also cohosts a podcast with her husband called My Wife Hates Me. This is her 10th appearance at SXSW. Expect a night of thought-provoking humor, clever insights, and unexpected twists as Bonnie challenges what we consider “real” with her signature wit and storytelling.
