Nabil Ayers
Nabil Ayers is the U.S. President of Beggars Group, overseeing labels like 4AD, Matador Records, Rough Trade, and XL Recordings. He co-founded Seattle’s Sonic Boom Records and manages The Control Group and Valley of Search, releasing music by artists such as The National and Grimes. As a musician, he has performed with The Long Winters and Tommy Stinson. An advocate for diversity, Nabil writes on music and race for The New York Times, NPR, and Rolling Stone. His memoir, “My Life in the Sunshine,” explores his unique family background and music career. Based in Brooklyn, NY, Nabil continues to shape the industry with his innovative vision and commitment to inclusivity.
