Phil Sage is an award-winning global leader with 20+ years of experience, defining the vision for corporate front-end innovation and award-winning product development across gaming, entertainment, and the world's most forward-looking consumer CPG brands. A 4yr honoree in MOJO NATION's Top 100 Most Influential Figures in the global toy & gaming Industry. At Hasbro Inc, his responsibilities included establishing global technology acquisition, revolutionizing global Inventor relations, and driving the 'digital first' iPlay design & development organizations. Over his history, he and his teams discovered and commercialized breakframe human-centered innovations like the TOTY Award-winning products PieFace, Animated SW Grogu, KAPI Award-winning Star Wars Lightsaber Academy, NERF Lazer Ops, and Webby-nominated Dropmix. In late 2021, he was awarded the inaugural Brian Goldner Joymaker Award for his commitment to boundary-pushing philanthropic innovation. In his leadership role at PepsiCo, Phil is the Sr Director of Design Innovation, PepsiCo Foods N.A. Crafting and accelerating E2E innovation and development strategies against some of the globe's biggest and most successful CPG brands. As an ambassador of human design-led thinking, his teams focus on positive, impactful change to solve real problems across the value chain for people and the planet. Launching a broad range of new exciting projects, including positive and nutrition-forward foods, plus exploring new delivery platforms that de-carbonize the last mile. Outside of office hours, he partners with like-minded design leaders in the Designforgood Alliance, a nonprofit that drives innovative solutions against the biggest UN SDGs. Phil and his team recently launched a basic hygiene platform in the Dominican Republic and Uganda schools system in partnership with the wash-foundation. A project focused on preventing child deaths by simply promoting frequent hand-washing.
