Sydney Thomas
Sydney is the Founder and General Partner of Symphonic Capital, a venture capital firm investing in companies improving life for the 99%. Her fund's launch was recently covered by TechCrunch. Over the past decade, she has built a distributed network focused on this thesis by founding a podcast, launching a newsletter, and hosting events to profile and support these impactful companies. Sydney actively works to increase diversity in tech, earning her recognition from Black VC’s Making an Impact and Marie Claire. She previously scaled a Pre-Seed fund in Silicon Valley from a Solo GP with 10 investments to a team with 400+ investments and $200M+ in AUM. Before tech, she served in the Bloomberg Administration in NYC, and drafting federal legislation, negotiating multi-million dollar contracts.
