Brian Irving
Brian has over two decades of experience building and marketing iconic global brands including Meta, Eventbrite, Apple, Google, and Airbnb. He also previously served as co-CMO and VP of global digital marketing for Levi Strauss & Co. Reporting into Rebecca Van Dyke in his most recent 3-year tenure as VP of Marketing for Meta, Brian was responsible for “branding the metaverse”, promoting a range of new product initiatives in the sector including Oculus, MetaQuest goggles, Ray-Ban smart glasses, and the Horizon VR World. It was there where Brian led the Meta Quest Pro Launch, bringing the first-ever integrated sports partnership to Meta with a multi-year, content, marketing, and product deal Meta x NBA partnership. Prior to this role, Brian was the CMO for Eventbrite. He joined Eventbrite due to the power of the platform bringing millions of people together for live experiences every year. At Eventbrite he led during the company’s IPO and launched their first ever brand campaign by working with agency partners and local event creators to turn the launch campaign into a series of experiences: “Made for Those Who Do”. At Airbnb he launched positioning across marketing and product called “Live There” that highlighted how Airbnb can help you “travel like a local” versus a tourist. Brian’s route up into marketing was nontraditional. He started off as a financial analyst, business planning manager and then moved into an account management role at Digitas and RAPP before going in-house. He is currently based in San Francisco, CA.
