Pioneering grassroots jazz organisation Jazz re:freshed is teaming up with British Underground for the 9th edition of the SXSW showcase. This year’s SXSW showcase features the crème de la crème of the UK jazz scene. The line-up includes Mercury Prize nominee corto.alto, alongside oreglo, now signed to Gilles Peterson's Brownswood Recordings. Also performing is Sofia Grant, whose work is inspired by themes of climate change, and Summer Pearl, who’s at the forefront of the evolution of jazz. The soothing and meditative vibes of INSXGHT will also take the stage, alongside MADELEINE, an emerging force in the nu-jazz scene. These artists represent the exciting future of jazz, blending tradition with innovation.
