The Amazon: The Intersection of AI, Health and Technology

Mar 10, 2025

11:30am – 12:30pm CT

The Brazilian Amazon region, with around 28 million inhabitants and some of the lowest social development indices, has been suffering from the effects of global warming on the population's health. The most impacted are precisely those who contribute the least to climate change, especially riverine and Indigenous communities. We will show how climate justice challenges the region and how innovation and technology initiatives address this population profile. Some of the ongoing projects in the area may impact healthcare worldwide.
