This interactive workshop explores the relationship between cinematography, color correction, and painting and the very personal experiences that we all have with color. We will examine how color grading can elevate images from the smallest budget to the largest-scale films and successfully support the work of DPs, directors, production and costume designers, makeup artists, and animators. With DP Adam Linzey, we will look at scenes from his 2024 independent film Pinch, which was shot in India and is an example of a successful collaboration between a colorist, cinematographer, and director.

Programming descriptions are generated by participants and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of SXSW.
