How Podcasts Have Accelerated Queer Representation

Date TBA

Podcasts are easily accessible, long-form content with a relatively low barrier to entry — and they are on an exponential rise. LGBTQ+ focused podcasts are not new, but more have emerged with a range of focus areas from queer sex education, dating & relationships, coming out, mental health, pop culture, and humor. This translates to more LGBTQ+ creators having a platform to communicate with, educate, and entertain queer and allied audiences. Join a line-up of LGBTQ+ podcast hosts and producers as they discuss the current and future state of queer representation in the podcast industry.

Programming descriptions are generated by participants and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of SXSW.
