Texas is So Hot: An Energy Future of Extremes
Around the world, extreme temperatures are rising past human livability— more than a moment in the uninhabited desert. In places suffering under war or deep drought, traditional energy cannot operate. How do the lessons of extremes instruct us about the future of energy? How do new energy futures imply radical change in society? This panel will explore future energy dynamics, profiling extreme conditions and energy system operation under duress. Speakers will discuss radical and hostile contexts and models for adaptation in a hot and less habitable world.
