Collective Intelligence to Shape the Social Media of 2050
Social media will continue to impact how we form communities and engage with society. We should not passively adapt to whatever change the platforms of tomorrow bring. Instead, we should be asking how to actively shape them to serve the kind of society we want to build.
We will bring together a diverse group of participants to collectively explore what future social media should look like. We will search for consensus on the principles that could guide social media design, from how content is shared and moderated, to how trust is built, social norms are established, and information circulates.
