Shooting Documentaries Solo
As commercial documentaries get bigger and slicker, do independent filmmakers have any chance of competing for funding and eyeballs? Or is it the opposite? Is now the perfect time for David to slay Goliath? The tools it takes to make premium documentaries are more accessible. The elements that distributors are craving (access, emotion, character) are easier for indie filmmakers to capture. Maybe now is the time for one-person bands to thrive?
