Woomb at Shangri-La
"So young, so new, already so good live." (David Fricke, Sirius XM)
“A total epiphany” (Metal Magazine)
Less than two years after bursting on the scene, Bulgarian duo Woomb proved to be not only a local phenomenon gathering a devoted community of fans through a genres-bending sound but a creative force on an unstoppable music journey: after increased coverage and first international tours, is now making them one of the most exciting acts in the South-East region. The latter is evidenced by their nomination for the Music Moves Through Europe, EU’s prize for emerging artists, as well as appearances on showcases like SoAlive in Sofia, MMB in Bucharest, upcoming performances on ESNS in Groningen and MENT in Ljubljana. Woomb turned heads last year with the delicate ballad ‘Pray for the Worst’, followed by the ambitious multi-layered ‘Last Rays’ and the more guitar-heavy fan favorite ‘Picture of a Deer’ and now "Shape Yourself Around Me", part of their debut EP.
Already before the release of their To Never Fear the Sun EP, Woomb proved to be able to push boundaries, sound skipping through a variety of music and cinematic influences.
