DJ Candlestick is an accomplished American DJ, radio personality, and record producer. Currently, he serves as a mixer on Drake’s Sound42 radio station on SiriusXM and has officially remixed the last three albums by Brent Faiyaz. DJ Candlestick’s portfolio includes collaborations with a diverse range of artists, including Don Toliver, Metro Boomin, Thundercat, DVSN, PartyNextDoor, Masego, 22Gz, Little Dragon, The Carters (Beyoncé & Jay-Z), Juicy J, and many others.
In 2017, he released Purple Moonlight, in collaboration with Oscar-winning director Barry Jenkins, marking the first of creative partnerships between the two.
A member of The Chopstars and a pioneer of the ChopNotSlop subgenre, DJ Candlestick has also been a prominent on-air personality for Houston-based stations KQBT 93.7 The Beat and The Choice 90.9 KTSU, his alma mater. Additionally, he gained recognition as the DJ for the Houston-based hip-hop collective The Nice Guys.
