Hailing from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, DeShawn Morrison, known as SHXWNFRESH, discovered his passion for music early, joining his grandfather’s church choir at the age of eight. Growing up amidst the challenges of violence and systemic racism, music became his sanctuary—a way to uplift himself and those around him.
