In her current role as Executive Vice President at The Music Center (the Performing Arts Center of Los Angeles County), she leads strategic, comprehensive, and impact measurement rigor in the development of all arts programming. Her portfolio includes free and low-cost participatory arts learning experiences as well as outdoor festivals, and music and dancing events which take place in school and neighborhood locations county-wide, and in downtown Los Angeles at a 12-acre park and on a 35,000 square foot outdoor plaza. Her work also includes conceiving and kickstarting the development of a digital technology innovation initiative, a creative workforce program for young adults, and a US/Canadian BIPOC leadership program. Previously she was the Arts Program Director at the James Irvine Foundation, awarding about $18 million per year in rural and urban California. Ms. Ramirez also held philanthropic and research roles at The Getty Trust in Los Angeles, including developing and leading research about art-based community building among recent immigrants. Ramirez is a Harvard University Graduate School of Design Loeb Fellowship alumni.
