Dev Patel

Oscar nominee and BAFTA Award winner Dev Patel catapulted to global success in Danny Boyle’s Academy Award-winning film Slumdog Millionaire. Since then, Patel has expanded his repertoire with acclaimed roles on both the big and small screen, earning a second Oscar nomination for his role in the Best Picture nominee Lion. Now, Patel brings to life, as director, writer, producer and star, the action-thriller Monkey Man.

Patel’s performances include The Personal History of David Copperfield, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel films, The Green Knight, Chappie, Hotel Mumbai, The Man Who Knew Infinity and The Wedding Guest.

Most recently, Patel had a lead role in Wes Anderson’s Oscar-nominated short The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar. Patel is also an executive producer, on behalf of his production company Minor Realm, on the Oscar nominated documentary feature To Kill a Tiger. He recently wrapped production on the indie thriller Rabbit Trap, which he also executive produces.

On the small screen, Patel began his career on the British teen drama Skins and starred in the Golden Globe nominated series The Newsroom. Patel earned an Emmy nod for his episode of Amazon Studios’ Modern Love.
