Actor

KYLE MACLACHLAN attained overnight success upon making his screen debut in the adaptation of the science fiction epic DUNE, directed by visionary filmmaker David Lynch.

A native of Yakima, Washington, MacLachlan is best known for his performance in Lynch’s ground-breaking series TWIN PEAKS, for which he received two Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe Award. MacLachlan reprised that role with the revival of TWIN PEAKS, where the story continues 25 years later. MacLachlan, working again with Lynch, also starred in the cinematic masterpiece, BLUE VELVET. Other film performances include Ray Manzarek in THE DOORS, Cliff Vandercave in THE FLINTSTONES, and the voice of the Dad in Pixar’s INSIDE OUT.
A few of MacLachlan’s highly acclaimed starring TV roles include DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, SEX & THE CITY, and PORTLANDIA. In 2021 he co-starred in the Emmy Award winning limited
series ATLANTIC CROSSING, playing President Franklin Roosevelt.

Beyond acting, MacLachlan - in partnership with Epic Magazine, Picture Perfect Federation, Full Picture, and PodcastOne - launched a hit true crime podcast called VARNAMTOWN that examines what happens when drugs, money and a town-wide deal with Pablo Escobar come to a sleepy fishing village in the 1980s. VARNAMTOWN debuted at #5 on the True Crime charts and is a Top 25 Podcast overall. MacLachlan’s social media adventures surrounding the podcast’s launch garnered him the endearment of Gen Z and press coverage by Vulture, The Daily Mail, Us Magazine, The Today Show, and more.

MacLachlan is also an accomplished vintner with his own wine company called Pursued by Bear, a brilliant homage to perhaps the most famous of all stage directions, “exit, pursued by bear,” from Act III, scene III of Shakespeare’s THE WINTER’S TALE. He sees a connection between acting and winemaking in terms of the combination and balance of process, patience, and creativity.

A steadfast believer in giving back, MacLachlan is a longtime supporter of such organizations as God’s Love We Deliver, Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, UNICEF, and the
Entertainment Industry Foundation’s Stand Up to Cancer program. He resides in New York City and Los Angeles with his wife, Full Picture Founder & CEO Desiree Gruber, their son, Callum and their two dogs, Bailey and Elvis.
